FAQ’s

  • Q: Do I need a bookkeeper and accountant if I have a micro-company?

A: Your Tax Assistant is a bookkeeping practice. We are certified and experienced in preparing and submitting final accounts for micro companies. In the case of more significant turnovers, we collaborate with accountants. We have helped numerous micro businesses across London.

  • Q: Where are you based? Can you work with remote clients?

A: We are based in Enfield, North London. However, we primarily work online, thanks to modern software that enables us to collaborate with clients who are geographically distant.

Because of the lower costs of running an online practice, we can offer you a better price for our services than the bigger providers.

  • Q: What records do I need to provide?

A: You will have to provide details of your company registration, your previous bookkeeper/accountant, expenses, and income.

Once we start working together, you will be asked to provide information that is part of our Compliance Requirements.

  • Q: How can we start working together? What are the steps?

A: Please fill out a contact form for an informal chat. Additionally, you can book an online assessment or consultation.

If you are self-employed and starting to trade, running a charity, or managing a micro-company, you may be looking for our comprehensive services.

If you are considering changing from your previous bookkeeper or accountant, we can facilitate that process for you. Feel free to drop us a line!

  • Q: People often ask when it's best to delegate their tax preparation and submission .

A: For the self-employed, we advise doing it early in the year (such as April-May for the following year's January submission), as we may be working at full capacity in the run-up and during the last-minute rush.

With digital quarterly tax submissions underway for the self-employed individuals earning over £50,000, it is absolutely paramount to contact us now if your income falls within this bracket.

  • Q: What expenses can I claim for Corporation Tax Filling for my company?

A: The expenses that you are allowed to claim for Micro-Company tax filing are slightly different to those that can be claimed by individuals for the self-assessment filing. The full list of expenses can be downloaded on the main page. We are experienced in maximising any potential savings and can assist you with this.

  • Q: People often ask what makes us different that would compel them to choose us among many providers?

A: We offer very competitive choices to our clients, although we are aware that there may be cheaper options on the market, including offshore support.

That said, many clients have found us to be a wise decision, as choosing us among many providers can lead to significant savings!
